This year's charity event was a resounding success, surpassing all expectations and becoming the biggest Care Factor event to date, with around 400 people in attendance. Thanks to your incredible generosity and unwavering support, our 2023 charity event has raised a total of $80,137! These funds been distributed between Waves of Wellness and RUN DIPG and will help make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.

This is a monumental achievement and the highest amount we have ever raised. We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support and generous donations from both our sponsors and those who attended. Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our plans to make next year's event even bigger and better. We can't wait to bring the industry together annually to continue supporting these important causes.

This year's supported charities

WOW: Innovation in mental health.

Waves of Wellness (WOW) is a mental health and surf therapy charity, promoting positive mental health and wellbeing through their range of innovative programs.

These programs break down the barriers and stigma that prevent people from being well. Get wet and have a good time. It’s simple enough, but the message runs deeper: it’s OK not to be OK, and you don’t have to – ever – go it alone.

Waves of Wellness believes dealing with mental health is not just about dealing with crisis, but also about finding healthy outlets for people who are struggling, recovering and doing fine. By facilitating conversations and connection and by increasing awareness, WOW aims to change the way mental health is viewed and treated.

RUN DIPG: Moving towards a cure.

RUN DIPG are fighting to eradicate the most lethal childhood disease.

Two-year-old Josephine Laura Dun was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) in 2018. She passed away 22 months post-diagnosis, forever four years old.

Her parents – Drs Phoebe Hindley and Matt Dun – found themselves in the tragic but unique position to make a real difference for all patients and families impacted by DIPG.

RUN DIPG are committed to supporting research that changes outcomes for DIPG patients and their families. They have, with the permission and support from their incredible families, shared the stories of DIPG patients and their families, their networks and the incredible events and initiatives they have created.
